National Hamburger Day 2017 is May 28
We pay tribute and honor the hamburger on this special day of celebration. We so deeply respect and value its place in our history that we have set aside May 28 of every year as National Hamburger Day.
Loved and consumed by millions, friends and families around the world honor the hamburger every year on May 28.
There have been many claims about the origin of the hamburger, but the origins remain unclear. The popular book “The Art of Cookery made Plain and Easy” by Hannah Glasse included a recipe in 1758 as “Hamburgh sausage”, which suggested to serve it “roasted with toasted bread under it”.
Are out looking for the best hamburger? Best is relative! The hamburger has developed into so many different flavors and varieties, each differing slightly depending on region. A few of the more popular flavors include Bacon Cheeseburger, Shrimp Burger, Pimento Cheeseburger, John Boy & Billy BBQ Bacon Burger, Ramen Burger, Bison Burger, Black Bean Burger and even a Bacon Blue Cheese & Grape Jelly Burger!
National Hamburger Day was started to celebrate the hamburger, plain and simple. Friendship, good times and memories of somewhere warmer are all great reasons to enjoy a hamburger.
